Birthday fabric crown - Corona di compleanno cucita

Today is a very special day.
My youngest turns 2 years old.
I keep thinking if Sara wasn't came, someone must "make her up". We were so lucky we did! :)

Oggi è una giornata super speciale. 
La mia piccola fa 2 anni.
Tutti i giorni penso che se non fosse mai arrivata qualcuno doveva inventarla. Siamo stati così fortunati che l'abbiamo fatta noi! :)

I made a crown for her.
I got inspired from this tutorial and used her pattern and triangles shapes as a base.
As you can see from the pictures, I added 1 triangle and 1 centimeter all over the whole crown shape.
Instead of felt I used quilting fabric -my favorite Far Far Away fabric by Heather Ross.
Gli ho fatto una corona.
Ho preso spunto da questo tutorial e ho usato anche il suo cartamodello y le forme dei triangoli come base.
Come potete vedere dalle foto, ho aggiunto un triangolo e ho anche aggiunto un centimetro a tutto il contorno della corona.
Invece del feltro ho usato delle cotonine americane -le mie preferite della collezione Far Far Away di Heather Ross.

This is a wonderful project for scraps since you need very few fabric, like 2 stripes of 40x10 cm. As batting I used some of my sweat fabric scraps and to keep it in a good shape I added a fusible interfacing layer.
You also need a small scrap of fabric like 8x8 cm and a very small (like 5 cm lenght) piece of elastic band nearly 2 cm tall.
I'm sorry I can't offer a full tutorial for this, but trust me, if you are a confident sewist you can make it yourself too!

Questo è un progettino perfetto per i piccoli scampoli perchè serve pochissima stoffa, circa 2 strisce di 40x10 cm. Per dargli un'apparenza morbidosa ho usato uno dei miei infiti scampoli di felpa e per irrigidirla un po' ho usato anche della fliselina.
Serve anche uno scampolino piccolissimo (circa 8x8 cm) e un pezzetto di elastico di 2 cm di altezza (circa 5 cm.)
Chiedo scusa per non avere un tutorial in forma da offrirvi ma credo che se avete esperienza nel taglio e cucito non troverete difficoltà per farne una. 

This crown fits perfectly little heads from 1 to 3 years old. For larger heads I'd add a triangle.
Questa corona va benissimo per piccole teste da 1 a 3 anni. Per testoline più grandi, aggiungerei un'altro triangolo.
